Challenge

To increase the exposure of the brand new family entertainment centre in West Sussex. To encourage families to see the centre as their local go-to hotspot for all round family fun. Target audience: Families, Yummy Mummies, Sussex residents – primarily west Sussex, Kids, Teenagers, Sporty Types & Dads.

Solution

We created a social media strategy that included Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest. The pages were set up from scratch and having this social presence meant we could deal with the extensive amount of enquiries about the new centre during the launch period; these were dealt with in a timely and effective manner. This added extra value to the service by relieving some of the pressure of their own enquiries team. Once the channels were established we created bespoke competitions and unique coupon codes for their customers which were also embedded onto their website. Our most recent competition #OOBEasterWin saw users upload their favourite images from the centre and would then have to send the competition to their friends/families to vote for their favourite image. The winner received a free family Clip’n Climb and family bowl. There are also regular updates such as ‘Guess where’ and ‘Pick your favourite’ to keep interest peaked.

With a tone of voice in place we built up relationships with the food franchises within the centre so that they could promote their own offerings, in fitting with their own company ethos. We used various Facebook advertising techniques to increase clicks to the site, the number of highly targeted followers and to promote the competitions/offers. An added benefit for the user on the Facebook page was a bespoke app that would allow you to check current opening times/prices and the booking process which sits within a Facebook Tab. Our services on this account varied from social media strategy, email database building, design, creative competitions and a customer enquiry platform.

Results

The Facebook page received an outstanding 1,520 likes and it’s posts averaged at a daily viewer reach of 4,064 in its first month. The most successful competition received a staggering 9.7K views and 483 engagements. These numbers have continued to grow on average by 900 new followers per month. Their social channels currently drive 10.1% of the overall traffic to the site, 82% of that traffic can be directly attributed to Facebook. Out of Bounds have three well-established social channels with highly engaged followers that enjoy interacting with the channels and sharing reviews/photos.
