Cobb Digital increase Winkworth franchises’ website traffic from social media activity by 506%

In 2013 Cobb Digital took over the social media management of four Winkworth franchises – Battersea, Clapham, Kennington Lets and Pimlico & Westminster. Since then clicks to the website directly from social media marketing have increased by 506%.

Challenge

Winkworth franchises Battersea, Clapham, Kennington Lets and Pimlico & Westminster wanted to drive visits to their microsites and increase enquiries for their listed properties, therefore ensuring that they are seen as the local property experts and the market leading agency in the area. The target audience for these offices are both International and UK investors, Working professionals for Residential Sales and MP’s, Corporate, Embassies, and International students for residential lettings.

Solution

Cobb Digital worked closely with Nick Goble, Managing Director, to create a bespoke marketing strategy for a variety of social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest as well as content marketing ideas.

Various creative solutions have been implemented to increase engagement across all social media channels. Cobb Digital created a campaign that was the perfect combination of promoting local businesses, positioning Winkworth Pimlico as part of the local community, which lead to tangible and measurable effects. The Twitter competition resulted in a total of 502 new followers, 738 retweets, 106 favourites and 338 mentions.

Cobb Digital has run various creative promotions across the social channels including a Twitter hosted session called #AsktheExpert where users are encouraged to tweet Winkworth with property related questions within a set time frame. Property agents then promptly answer them, showing their knowledgeable expertise in the property industry.

Due to the scale of work undertaken with Winkworth, Cobb Digital have recently built up relationships with online property portals On the Market and Rightmove. We have secured them regular content slots on two of the industries leading go to property resources. This generates strong links for Winkworth and has a positive effect on organic rankings for the microsites. 

Results

Since taking over the running of the four Facebook accounts of these Winkworth franchises the highly targeted following has increased by 567%, averaging at 385 views daily, totaling 1,956 clicks and creating 2,718 impressions as a result of Facebook marketing.

Twitter has seen a 72% increase in its following, has received 10,022 impressions and 2,707 clicks to Pimlico’s properties.
